A Meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals will be held on Thursday, May 27, at 8:00 P.M. via ZOOM Webinar. The meeting will be broadcast live on WHOH-TV 75 or FIOS 43 and http://whoh-tv.org.
A meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 8 p.m. It will be conducted in accordance with Executive Order 202.1. As such, the meeting will be held virtually via videoconference using the ZOOM platform and able to be seen live on Channel 75 (Cable), or Channel 43 (FIOS), or streaming live on www.whoh-tv.org. Members of the Zoning Board and staff participating in the meeting will be doing so remotely through videoconference. Furthermore, there will be no public participation in-person; however, all public comments will be heard via email at zoning@hastingsgov.org. Relief from the strict application of the Village Code Section 295-20C(2) for the extension of an existing rear patio at their single-family dwelling located at 360 Farragut Avenue. Said property is located in the R-10 Zoning District and is known as SBL: 4.150-152-4 on the Village Tax Maps.
Non-conformity details for the patio and walls are as follows:
1. Paving in a Required Yard: Existing Patio – 125 sq. ft.; Newly Proposed – 160 sq. ft.; Newly Proposed nonconforming – 83 sq. ft.; Required Max – None {295-C(2)}; Variance Required – 83 sq. ft.
Relief from the strict application of the Village Code Section 295-69F.1(a) for the replacement of a front stoop at his property located at 41 Columbia Avenue. Said property is in R-7.5 Zoning District and is also known as SBL: 4.150-153-1 on the Village Tax Maps.
Variances are sought for Front Yard Non-Conformity:

Relief from the strict application of the Village Code Sections 295-69F.1(c) with 295-55A (extension of existing non-conformity) for a rear 2nd story addition at his single-family dwelling located at 71 Mt. Hope Boulevard. Said property is located in the R-7.5 Zoning District and is known as SBL: 4.80-66-6 on the Village Tax Maps.
Non-conformity details are as follows:

Relief from the strict application of the Village Code Sections 295-68F.1(b) with 295-55A and 295-68F.2(a)[1&2] for an extension on an existing non-conforming garage and covering over an existing open porch at their home at 8 Branford Road. Said property is in R-10 Zoning District and is also known as SBL: 4.120-132-11 on the Village Tax Maps.
Non-conformity details are as follows:
1. Rear Yard to an Accessory Structure: Existing – 1.84 ft.; Proposed – 1.84 ft.; Required Min. – 8 ft. {295-68F.1(b)} {295-55A extension of an existing non-conformity}; Variance Required – 6.16 ft.
