2. To consider the advisability of adopting Proposed Local Law A of 2015 amending Article VII of Chapter 260 of
the Code of the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson, Westchester County, New York, to increase the income limits for
tax abatement for rent-controlled and rent-regulated property occupied by senior citizens or persons with
disabilities.
Be it enacted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 260-38 of the Code of the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson is hereby amended to read as follows:
§~260-38. Statutory provisions adopted; application of provisions.
The Village of Hastings-on-Hudson hereby adopts the provisions of §~467-b, as amended, of the Real Property Tax Law of the
State of New York. Hereinafter, there shall be provided a tax abatement in rent-regulated apartments where the combined income
of members of the household containing senior citizens (62 years of age or older) or disabled persons does not exceed $24,000
$50,000, and provided that, pursuant to §~467-b of the Real Property Tax Law of the State of New York, the benefits of such
abatement are passed on to such senior citizens or disabled persons.
SECTION 2. SEVERABILITY
If any section, subsection, clause, phrase or other portion of this Local Law is, for any reason, declared invalid, in whole or in part,
by any court, agency, commission, legislative body or other authority of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a
separate, distinct and independent portion. Such declaration shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions hereof, which
other portions shall continue in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE
This local law shall take effect immediately upon filing in the office of the New York State Secretary of State in accordance with
section 27 of the Municipal Home Rule Law.
